Game Master’s Notes

Wow, Team Familia Järnheim just can’t catch a break, can they? Four Days, four mafia eliminations. I don’t think any of us could have predicted the game to go this way. Good on you, Team Red Church.

But hey, as good as it must feel to be 4/4 voting-wise, you can’t take it too easy just yet. As you can see, the game isn’t over. And that can only mean one thing: threat(s) continue to lurk in the shadows… (It’s a school for assassins, what did you expect?)

Good luck finding them. Or not. I’ll have fun watching either way.

(Oh, one last thing before I go: the Blade tests are now complete. Those who have achieved Blade status have been contacted and rewarded accordingly.)

It is now Day Five.

You have until Sunday 9pm BST to discuss suspicions and cast your votes. Once the deadline has been reached, the person with the most votes will be eliminated.

Good luck!

Game Master’s Notes

Wow, what’s more shocking: the fact that everyone has managed to eliminate three Team Familia Järnheim players three Days in a row or that there finally has been a Team Red Church death? I’m not sure, but all parties involved have something to celebrate going into Day Four.

And there you go, Team Red Church, you now know your team is not immune to death! I hope you haven’t been getting too comfortable these last few Nights. You never know when it’ll be your turn to go next. (Dun dun dunnnn…)

Anyways, I really don’t have much else to add. You guys have all made me one happy moderator with your active participation and deep analysis of gameplay. Keep doing what you’re doing. Gold stars all around!

The Blade Tests

As a reminder, the Blade tests are in effect for this edition of The Bookish Games. These four tests, inspired by Nevernight, include:

  • Shahiid Mouser tests for thievery. For this, we will be looking for players who we consider the best at playing under the radar, the sneaky ones.
  • Shahiid Aalea tests for secrets. For this, we will be looking for players who are good at gathering information and getting others to talk.
  • Shahiid Spiderkiller tests for poison. For this, we will be looking for players who are great at causing chaos, poisoning the minds of others and making it harder for them to see clearly.
  • Shahiid Solis tests for swordsmanship. For this, we will be looking for players who have the most blood on their hands, those who haven’t been afraid to use their votes.

One Shahiid test is attached to each Day in this game, but players are not informed which one is associated with each. Those who achieve Blade status will be granted with extra abilities.

It is now Day Four.

You have until Sunday 9pm BST to discuss suspicions and cast your votes. Once the deadline has been reached, the person with the most votes will be eliminated.

Good luck!

Nevernight: Night Three

Nevernight edition

It Is Night Three.

Welcome Mafia! It is now your chance to openly discuss your evil plans. You may talk about what’s happened so far, brainstorm strategies to survive the next Day, laugh at how clueless the Townies are – whatever your heart desires.

You have two objectives by the end of the Night:

  1. Determine which player you would like to target for elimination.
  2. Determine which Mafia teammate you would like to send to complete the kill.

Once you have decided on these objectives, please have one of your team members submit your decisions to the Moderators by completing the Night Action form.

You only have 48 hours to make a decision. The Night phase ends each Tuesday 9pm BST. A countdown has been added to the sidebar to assist you in determining how much time you have left each phase.

Remember: Your goal is to outlast and eliminate any other team. Use your kills wisely, and do your best to keep your team alive.

Game Master’s Notes

What is going on with this edition of the game? How is it possible that going into Day Three there have only been two eliminations and both are from Team Familia Järnheim? Can it really be that the Town is just that good this edition? Or is there something more going on behind the scenes? Hmmm…

Either way, I don’t really think I need to say anything more. You know how this game works. Good luck!
