The 100: Night Five (Cult)

It is now Night Five.

Once you determine which player you would like to recruit, please submit the Night Action form. Only you, the Cult Leader, can recruit members to the Cult. If you are eliminated, the Cult cannot recruit additional players but may attempt to win the game without you.

Each Night phase ends Tuesday 7 pm GMT. Your form must be submitted at this time in order for the recruitment to be completed and all discussion on these pages must come to an end.

Good luck!

  1. Oookay, that was a super fun way to end the day. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Question: what happens if we recruit a mafia player? Would they become cult? Wouldn’t that wrap things up more quickly?

If Anna’s power is real and goes into effect, Maria will be eliminated. What if we recruited Amber B or Greg? It would perhaps be a safer move than trying to pick a townie that they will try to eliminate?

Other people to consider: Harker’s all over the place and I can’t figure if they are town and have a different win condition or what?

Is Meeghan in this chat too? Did that go through and she just wasn’t added to the list above?

Sorry, lots of thoughts all at once.

  2. I don’t think Cult can recruit Mafia, actually- only Townies.

    So far:
N1 Recruited Jenn- failed, she died that Night
N2 Recruited Jeann- successful, she later died during a Night round
    N3 Recruited Anne- successful
N4 Recruited Meeghan- failed, she lived

I don’t know if Meeghan’s failure to be recruited is because she’s Mafia (which I feel is unlikely) or if she was protected by someone last Night. All I know is that my recruitment was unsuccessful.

I’m also concerned about the whole “Cult can only recruit Grounders” theory. Were you a Grounder, before?

I think our options are Anna, Harker, or Shannon. Possibly Meeghan again, though I worry that if her role keeps her from being recruited, it’ll be a waste.

  3. Ah, well that makes it tougher! I spent the whole day thinking Meeghan was cult. ๐Ÿคฃ

Harker is the most cult focused so it may be worth it to quell that curiosity? But yeesh, idk. If I was mafia I would definitely eliminate Anna with a role like that.

I was The 100 before so that theory is false.

  4. Oh, thank goodness.

I’m a bit torn. Mafia could target Harker, Meeghan, or myself as the most vocal today (as well as driving votes against Amber and Greg). I think they’d keep Anna around (assuming her vote didn’t kill Maria, if Maria is Mafia) because Anna killing Townies (or Cult) in the Night brings them closer to a win.

I’m reasonably certain there’s either a protective role or another roleblocker of some sort that was at work last Night, either protecting Meeghan or blocking me. If blocking me it must’ve been a Mafia, since nobody threw an accusation at me toDay. So I think it more likely a protector.

Shannon might be the safest option in terms of unlikely to be killed in the Night (of course, I thought that about Jenn).

Honestly, I’m not sure I’ll survive the Night, since Harker pointed out how accurate my analysis has been, so I’m extra concerned about recruiting someone successfully toNight to give us as many numbers as possible, in case we can’t recruit after toNight.

  5. I think Harker seemed on their side and anti-cult so they may be left alive.

Shannon is so anti-Greg they might also keep her alive for the sake of it, especially since I made a point about all the Greg related deaths.

I feel like it is a 50-50 crapshoot.

  6. Ahhh good point!

Alright, if we get Harker successfully toNight, then maybe D6 we can focus on Shannon, Maria, and Anna as possible Cultists.

I’ve brought up that Anna is the only one who didn’t mention Cult at all before it was confirmed, so maybe peg her as being avoidant to fly under the radar (not sure how to explain her taking credit for killing Townies she voted for overnight).

Maria has been throwing out a lot of theories and questions all over the place, which we might be able to frame as a distracting tactic, or some sort of communication/coordination attempt during the day (either with her fellow Cultists or with the Mafia?).

Shannon went hard at the theory that it’s Mt Men recruiting Grounders as our Cult, so maybe, if either of us is killed and exposed as non-Grounders Cult, we can use that to discredit her theory and cast doubt on her for avoiding the ALIE/City of Light aspect (addressing there might be a Cult but distancing herself?) or that in her going after Greg so constantly, she made herself look Town without endangering any Cult (or drawing attention to herself) or helping Town find any additional Mafia, or Cult.

I’m not sure Meeghan is touchable at this point…I’m afraid to throw shade on her behavior, given how spot-on she’s been about everything, lest it bite me in the butt.

  7. Actually, nevermind with that idea of framing Townies as Cultists…we need to focus still on Mafia.

Assuming Mafia only kills 1/Night and Annaโ€™s vote kills 1/Night, we really need to convince Anna to vote Mafia only (until theyโ€™re all eliminated) and keep as many Townies alive as possible, to recruit.

Cult win condition means we have to control 50% of the player base (I think).
Which means we win if we control 4 players in D6 (which won’t happen), or 3 in D7 (which might!).

  8. Ah, so many variables!!

I think the grounders bit can be played to advantage. No one knows the truth on that and there was a lot of speculation.

Maria’s “get the cult” mentality didn’t play well for her, so I agree focusing on mafia will probably still work. From a town pov, Anna is able to kill apparently, so the night deaths are hers and mafia’s. To me, if I was still town, I would still see mafia as the biggest threat for their kill ability. As we know, recruits can fail if we cross-fire with the mafia or otherwise.

Meeghan was scarily accurate. I don’t know how she pegged me when I had been recruited the night before. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

I wonder, could Amber have stolen Kerys’ ability somehow? Unless Amber is unlynchable.

  9. That 50% win condition makes me wonder. If we got to the point where there were just mafia and cult left …

If it was 3 each, how would that work? They could try to hit the leader at night, but cult could recruit them and it would be like 2:2 lol

Also, you are more important so definitely throw me under the bus if it is looking bad.

  10. I really hope Amber is just Deathproof x1. Which would make sense from a story perspective with the president dude of Mt. Weather.

And good point with the Grounders suspicion! We can definitely play up that whole “if only Grounders can be recruited, let’s look at whose interactions with Kara and Jeann on D1 and D2 make them seem Grounder” thing. Harker pegged you as Ark in their analysis, and I’ve been dropping hints that I’m in The 100 since D1, so that should work to our advantage.
The sole wrinkle there is that Shannon recanted her Mt Weather assumption and has decided it’s an ALIE/City of Light setup:

Yeah, I tried to map out every possible branch of activity for N5, D6, and N6 and quickly got overwhelmed. ๐Ÿ˜€
If there’s 3 Mafia left by start of D6, then it’s likely we’ll only have 4 Town and we’re gonna need all of them alive. If there’s 2 Mafia left by start of D6, we have a wee bit of wiggle room (assuming we both survive N5).

Hahahaha I hope it doesn’t come down to Cult v Mafia in equal numbers! We could be starting D6 with 7-9 players, so either way I think the game is going to end D6 or D7.

And thanks for the offer….I hope I don’t have to throw anyone under the bus. Your play style has not been suspicious at all- I was shocked by Meeghan’s statement, too, and wonder if that means she has an investigative ability or something. But thankfully, no one seems focused on it. And Greg and Amber haven’t done much to look any *less* suspicious- both of them were super quiet on D5.

Alright….I think I’m gonna aim for recruiting Shannon.
You’re right about her gunning for Greg, and she doesn’t give us much else to go on, aside from her Mt Weather speculation. Shannon also raised suspicion that Harker might be Cult ( so if need be, we could lean into that. It does make sense that if Mafia killed her, it would aim town against Greg heavily (I still think he’s Mafia), whereas Harker’s suspicions have been more diffused (to include Greg and Amber B, but also Anna and you as anti-Town). Harker also has their analysis to post of Greg and Maria- and if those 2 are Mafia, it could help keep Town pointed against them in voting, so I’d think that combo would make Harker more of a Mafia Night kill target.

Keep your fingers crossed it goes through! ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. Yes, indeed! The mods continue to amaze me with the level of organized chaos. ๐Ÿ˜€

And best of luck to both of us in surviving the Night, and D6!
