Game Master’s Notes

Welcome players to Day One of The Bookish Games: A Darker Shade of Magic. Over the next few weeks you shall work towards achieving your goals, slowly eliminating one another while navigating the twists built into this game, and I’m looking forward to seeing just how many of you actually survive until the end.

Before we begin, a few reminders:

  • Please make sure you have read your Role email prior to commenting in the game.  (That first comment requirement is still in effect for this edition…)
  • It is also assumed by now that you have read and agreed to The Rules. Any violation of the rules will result in a warning, followed by a disqualification. (Don’t forget, you can get a pass if there’s a certain week you need to be excused from the participation rule. Just contact us!)
  • Because it is Day One, you really have nothing to base your votes or suspicions off of yet. Our main advice is just to have fun and vote however you want in the beginning. Even if Day One ends with you murdering a teammate (oops), you will still learn a lot of valuable information by observing how the other players react and vote.
  • Player pronouns are listed next to player names on the Current Game page. Please do your best to use a player’s preferred pronoun when referencing them. (Note: If I was unable to locate your preference on social media / previous games, I left it blank. Leave your preference in a comment if you’d like it updated.)
  • When voting, please type your vote in ALL CAPS and on a separate line from the rest of your text so it is easy for Inge, Crini, and me to spot. Votes are not final until the deadline, so you can choose to switch who you vote for throughout the Day. You can also choose not to vote. Votes can be canceled anytime by commenting CANCEL VOTE.
  • There is no option to “reply” to other comments on this blog. This is to ensure that all comments appear in chronological order. If you want to respond directly to someone else’s comment, we recommend starting your message with “@PlayerName:”.
  • We are currently using British Summer Time for game deadlines. A countdown has been added to the blog menu to assist players in knowing how much time they have left to vote. The countdown will switch from “x days” to “x hours” once below the 24 hour mark. (You can also use this link to see when the deadline occurs at your local time, just add your location!)

As always, don’t be afraid to contact us if you have any questions or just want to chat in private about what’s going on during the Game. We are here to help and want to make this as fun of an experience as possible!

It is now Day One.

You have until Sunday 9pm BST to discuss suspicions and cast your votes. Once the deadline has been reached, the person with the most votes will be eliminated.

Good luck!

  1. Voting Update

    No Votes Yet!

Not Voting: Anna, Anthony, Beth, Dana, Edward, Harker, Jeremy, Kerrie, Krista, Kritika, Laura, Meeghan, Megan, MiKayla, Nicole, Saika, Shannon M., Shannon T., Siena

Also, just a quick heads up that I work in the morning so I’m going to be heading to bed shortly here and won’t be around for eight hours. If you have questions, DM me and I will respond as soon as I wake up! Good luck!

  2. Hi friends! So excited to start these shenanigans again! I’m disturbed by how little I remember about this book (and the second, which I did read) but maybe it’ll come back to me, or motivate me to read the 3rd book, who can tell? 😂

    VOTE: Shannon T

Because I’m the OG Shannon and the world isn’t ready for two of us. Or something 🤷

  3. I’m so glad the games are back! 😁

    VOTE SIENA

Because a) first vote 🤷 b) would someone whose screenname is Rhy be assigned a Town Role? 🤔 100% no way to know so please refer to point A at this very very early stage. 😅

  4. Hello, hello, hello! It’s so exciting being here, I was anxiously refreshing twitter notifications all day. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve read the book but this will just motivate me to give it a reread. Because I’m unfamiliar with how this works I think I will refrain from voting for now.

  5. Ahhh, I’m so excited to be back!! Thank you to Asti and Inge and Crini for hosting this!! I’m still only at the start of the book (and also reading Vicious…,I should finish it before reading another Schwab book…) so I am out of speculating unlike last time.

    VOTE BETH

(Sorry Beth, but you did poison me last time – I don’t actually hold this against you, but I need to vote and this reason seemed as good as any!!)

  6. I am so excited to play this game! This is my first time so I have no idea what to expect but as a huge fan of VE Schwab I’m so happy this exists!
    VOTE: BETH
Because your name came after mine in the list and this is the first day so idk ???

  7. Hi everyone! Looking forward to a great game! I’ve played some mafia-style games tabletop games before but never anything like this. My pronouns are he/him by the way.

Since I guess there’s not much to base our first votes on, I just generated a random number from 1 to 19 and got 4. So:

    VOTE MEEGHAN

  8. Hi all. I’m excited to be playing. Especially as ADSOM is one of my favorite novels.

    VOTE: MIKAYLA

    Just picked a random name.

  9. Hi everyone!! I am walking home right now and couldn’t wait to comment so here I am walking and typing lol (better than @Shanon’s record for commenting in the car right? LOL)

VOTE SAIKA because it’s almost the same name as a Japanese restaurant that I just walked past (Saica! What are the odds?)

  10. Ah darn, I thought first day was optional. I’ll think on it and make a choice before the end of the day.

  11. I’m still getting used to the format of how this website works, I’ve never used WordPress before. Please excuse my beginner mistakes!

    VOTE ANNA

because I’m married to an Anna and there can only be one.

  12. Hey everyone,

This is my first time ever doing something like this, and I am pretty excited to see what it is all about! I read the entire ADSOM series in less than 3 days during my vacation in August, so this drew my attention when V.E. Schwab tweeted about it.

I personally think two Shannon’s are better than 1! Based on pure randomness I –

    VOTE KRITIKA

Mostly because I think that’s a cool name.

  13. Hi Everyone,

I’m super excited for this game. I actually just finished the last book in the series a couple of days ago. While not required for this game I feel even more hyped because of it.

    VOTE EDWARD

A retaliation vote because of course there can be more than one Anna. 😀

  14. @Anna, fair enough! 😀 I haven’t had time to finish the second book in the series just because I’m gearing up for my final semester in college. Once I’ve graduated though, I’ll be able to read ALL the books. Mwahaha!

  15. Voting Update

    Beth (2) – Meeghan, Laura
    Kerrie (1) – Dana
    Shannon T (1) – Shannon M
    Siena (1) – Harker

    Anna (1) – Edward
    Kritika (1) – Shannon T
    Edward (1) – Anna

Not Voting: Anthony, Beth, Kerrie, Krista, Megan, MiKayla, Saika, Siena

@ Edward: Just to confirm, the very first comment of Day One requires a vote, but you can cancel it or change it at any time. So all these votes that are happening right now are just random and are very likely to change before the end of the Day. It won’t be a requirement with the first comment on any Day hereafter. 🙂

  16. Hi everyone!

So glad the games are back I’ve enjoyed every game so far!

I’ve read book one and itching to get my hands on the rest of this series. Haha.

Never know who to vote for on day 1, so I’ll just randomly pick someone without a vote already.

    VOTE: JEREMY

  18. Hello everyone! I just finished ADSOM yesterday, so I’m thrilled to be here playing Bookish Games for a book I managed to read BEFORE game started. 😀

@Meeghan Hahahaha! No worries at all. Hey, did you truly want a look at my spreadsheet before the shenanigans happen? I can’t guarantee it won’t be a mess, but I figured I better try something to organize my thoughts. 😀

    VOTE: ANTHONY
Because I pick on people who aren’t here yet. 😀

Also, FYI (in fine Bookish Games tradition now, it feels like), I’ll be having surgery tomorrow so I might not be commenting much for about 24 hours, as the anesthesia wears off.

Out of curiosity, which players are in what time zones/countries?
I’m in the US, PST (so one of the last people to check posts, I suppose)

  19. @Beth OMG yes please to seeing the spreadsheet!! Let me know if you want an email or something (or google docs??)
Sending all the good vibes for surgery – maybe it would be fun to have you on here commenting as the anaesthetic wears off?!!
Also, I am in Australia, and my current time zone is AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time), which puts as at GMT +11. It’s about midnight at the moment for reference.
I think (from memory) Anna is the same as me. And Jeann (who is spectating – hi Jeann!).

  20. Hello! I have arrived and am very excited! My pronouns are she/hers and my timezone is Eastern Daylight time so I am roughly six hours behind I believe? I just woke up so my ability to do anything is a little off. Anyway, I decided to pick someone who does not have a vote yet.

    VOTE: KRISTA

  21. @Shannon T I’m glad you think my name is cool 🙂
@Beth I hope you have a good recovery from surgery and that you feel better soon!

I’m on Eastern daylight time as well. I’m a PhD student so I work weird hours and comment on here when I’m procrastinating on writing research code or doing my homework lol

I hope the remaining people check in soon! It’s hard to know who to vote for on the first day because we know so little, and it’s even harder when not everyone has commented yet…

  22. Tip for newbies because I just forgot to do this, always refresh the page before you post your comments! Especially towards the end of the Day when everyone is posting and votes are changing super fast, you’ll probably miss seeing the most recent comments unless you refresh right before you post 🙂

  23. @beth good luck with your surgery! I am currently off work recovering from gallbladder surgery (or more-so from the complications that arose after the surgery). I am in the US on EST. Seems to be a few of us over here!

  24. Voting Update

    Beth (1) – Laura
    Kerrie (1) – Dana
    Shannon T (1) – Shannon M
    Siena (1) – Harker
    Meeghan (1) – Jeremy
    MiKayla (1) – Nicole
    Saika (1) – Kritika
    Anna (1) – Edward
    Kritika (1) – Shannon T
    Edward (1) – Anna
    Jeremy (1) – Megan
    Anthony (1) – Beth
    Krista (1) – MiKayla
    Harker (1) – Kerrie

Not Voting: Anthony, Krista, Meeghan, Saika, Siena

  25. @Beth, I am in Pennsylvania, so EDT (at least for a few more weeks when we go back to standard time 😭) Also, I am sending you ALLLL the good vibes, I really hope that surgery goes well and that you have a fast recovery ♥♥

@Shannon T, I am so sorry that you have been having so many complications too, and I hope for a speedy recovery!

  26. Thanks for the good wishes, all!
And @ShannonT I hope your recovery goes swiftly!

We do have quite a few novel names (pun intended) here and I’m a big fan. 😀

Also, @Kritika’s advice is SUPER HELPFUL. Refresh is your friend. Especially at the end of a day period (so in 4 days or so). There’s generally a mad rush of stuff happening in the final few hours, so if you can arrange your schedule to be online and able to refresh/watch/comment as needed, it’ll probably be less stressful.

  27. Hey! I’m super excited to play too! I’m in the Eastern US so I’m a bit behind as well.

    VOTE MIKAYLA

  28. @Beth wishing you the best of luck for your surgery! 💜

@Shannon T and hope you have a swift recovery too! Hopefully the games can help keep your mind occupied haha.

I’m UK based here so I’m lucky the ‘day’ ends at a reasonable time here for me. Refreshing is certainly very helpful then, trying to keep up with everyone’s mad dash to comment and vote 5 minutes before the end 😂

  29. Im so glad @Harker is here to give me the real-time difference

Also @Krista is it because I voted for you 😦

  30. @Beth wishing the best for your surgery.

@Shannon T Also wishing you a speedy recovery.

@Meeghan You’re correct we share the same timezone.

I’m going to be away from home this weekend. I should be able to check in fine. But in case I am a bit quiet. That will be why.

  31. @Anna well I hope you have a good time away. This is going to be a wild ride, so many wonderfully kind people are in the chat haha. I have no idea how we’re going to be able to be mean to each other later when everyone is this nice. 😀

  32. @Edward thanks. Last game was my first game and I remember how nerve wracking it was being mafia and having to kill such nice people off.

  33. @Edward you’ll find out in a Day or two how quickly we go from being nice to completely paranoid haha That said, everyone I’ve met on these games really is a nice person, so I’m always sad when someone gets eliminated 😦
@Shannon T I hope you recover soon too!

  34. @Kritika I’m sure we can all go back to being friends at the end…..hopefully? lol. We’ll see, paranoia sets in fast with these kind of games.

@Anna, you were mafia last time? How did it go?

  35. @Krista I was only voting for you for the same reason. Can we meet in the middle and call it off? Pick on someone else (together maybe)??

  36. Voting Update

    Beth (1) – Laura
    Kerrie (1) – Dana
    Shannon T (1) – Shannon M
    Siena (1) – Harker
    Meeghan (1) – Jeremy
    MiKayla (2) – Nicole, Krista
    Saika (1) – Kritika
    Anna (1) – Edward
    Kritika (1) – Shannon T
    Edward (1) – Anna
    Jeremy (1) – Megan
    Anthony (1) – Beth
    Krista (1) – MiKayla
    Harker (1) – Kerrie

Not Voting: Anthony, Meeghan, Saika, Siena

  37. @Edward Yep, I was mafia. It was my first game so it I was quite anxious and ended up making myself look suspicious by being too quiet. It was still a lot of fun though. 😀

  38. @Anna oh wow. That sounds pretty stressfull. o_0; Hopefully this next round will be less so…? Then again, if you made the mafia team again this time around you’ve probably learned your lesson, huh? I have my eyes on you 😀

  39. you’ll find out in a Day or two how quickly we go from being nice to completely paranoid haha

@ Kritika I am laughing so hard at this because it’s so true!!!

  40. @Edward. Ha ha, yeah it was stressful, but fun too. And just because I was mafia last time, doesn’t mean I’m one this game. Also I think I’m going to enjoy this one more just for having read the book this time.

  41. CANCEL VOTE

    VOTE MIKAYLA

I’m switching my vote to MiKayla for now because I find her suggestion to Krista to pick someone off together a bit suspicious.

@Krista I was only voting for you for the same reason. Can we meet in the middle and call it off? Pick on someone else (together maybe)??

Insulating themselves feels a bit hinky. Krista did cancel her vote fairly quickly thereafter.

@MiKayla Sounds like a plan! CANCEL VOTE

  42. @Harker My jaw dropped a little when I read their comments. Rookie mistake perhaps?

    CANCEL VOTE

I’m not sure which of the two to vote for at the moment. MiKayla for suggesting it or Krista for being quick to go with it…

  43. @Dana: that’s a possibility. And I understand the hesitation with who to vote for (suggestor or follower). I went with MiKayla a) because she suggested it b) she already has a vote which, granted, so does Krista, but I felt that the suggestion of making up a smaller team tipped the scales toward MiKayla.

Newbie mistake? Maybe, but it’s D1 so we have to work with what we’ve got.

  44. Really hoping Anthony, Saika, and Siena swing by and comment/vote within the next 3 days!

    @Edward

I have no idea how we’re going to be able to be mean to each other later when everyone is this nice.

Oh, we’re never mean to each other! Just highly, highly suspicious and apt to analyze everything said and how it was said and when and why and to air possible mafia strategies and speculate on possible teams and roles, etc. But never mean. 😀

  45. @Harker, as soon as I saw it I was like “wow not going to take long before everyone jumps on this” 😂 It’s so beyond blatant that I can’t decide if it’s just newbies wanting to be buds, or… Well would anyone really make THAT egregious of an error if they’re mafia? Idk.

@Beth seriously, I am looking forward to hearing from them! And you know how I feel about inactives at the end of the Day 😬

  46. Wow, we’re already being paranoid? 😬 And here I thought we were just going to let the first vote go since it’s only day 1.

  47. @Edward, I think it’s more that they wanted to team up against someone else? I mean, the Day 1 vote (especially the initial one) is usually not based on much, but teaming up is definitely going to raise a few red flags for people.

  48. @Shannon: it’s blatant, true, which means it could be a newbie thing or it could be anti-Town (which doesn’t necessarily mean Mafia – considering the sheer size of the game, who knows? The angles could be multiple.)

@Edward: as the Town has only the Day votes to utilize, it’s unwise to just let a vote go if at all possible. That’s how I feel, anyway.

  49. Voting Update

    Beth (1) – Laura
    Shannon T (1) – Shannon M
    Meeghan (1) – Jeremy
    MiKayla (2) – Nicole, Harker
    Saika (1) – Kritika
    Anna (1) – Edward
    Kritika (1) – Shannon T
    Edward (1) – Anna
    Jeremy (1) – Megan
    Anthony (1) – Beth
    Krista (1) – MiKayla
    Harker (1) – Kerrie

Not Voting: Anthony, Meeghan, Saika, Siena, Krista, Dana

@Beth: I’ve fixed your blockquote whoopsie. Won’t be the last one. 😄

  50. I’ve never played before so I was just trying to be nice 🙃 I canceled my vote, but I didn’t actually vote for anyone else. I’m still not really sure how this works.

  51. As a newbie I can confirm that I didn’t realize how suspicious Krista’s and MiKayla’s posts seem until it was pointed out, so chances are it’s not actually because they’re mafia. But anything to go on is better than a random vote, so for now I’ll switch my vote.

    CANCEL VOTE

    VOTE MIKAYLA

I went for MiKayla because she seemed much more hesitant – I imagine the mafia would be too circumspect to hop on board as immediately as Krista did.

  52. Yeah I agree it does seem a bit suspicious to suggest teaming up. I’ve never played before so I’m interested to see what happens and which things make people paranoid lol

  53. @Harker that’s true, I suppose. In that case maybe I should think of changing my vote after all, I don’t want the mafia to start winning this early on.

@Laura teaming up only works for mafia, I’ve noticed. Since only mafia people know who their teammates are.

    CANCEL VOTE

  54. I leave for a few hours and I get this?? I was just trying to be nice and not die on the first day. Im just trying to make friends and was hoping that asking @krista to join me would not make me the one with the most votes on the leader board. I’ve never played either so excuse me for trying to get out of being voted up on the first day like this. Lesson learned I swear I was not trying to be suspicious but looking at that now..I see how this looks.
    CANCEL VOTE
    VOTE HARKER

  55. Just a quick note to say that it sucks getting voted in this game, but always remember it’s not personal! Players will jump on any little thing they can find, especially this early in the game, because they really have nothing else to work with. Everyone will find themselves under the magnifying glass at one point or another.

There’s still quite a bit of time until deadline and votes often change up until the last second so anything can still happen. I just know it’s a sucky feeling to be in the spotlight and we have a lot of new players this edition, so wanted to assure everyone that this over-analysis of every little thing is typical in this game and no one means any harm. 🙂

If you do ever need someone to talk to or react to about the Games though, don’t hesitate to DM me. Players can’t chat privately but us mods are fair game. We won’t give you answers but can usually empathise with whatever situations you find yourself in.

I’ll be sending an email to those who haven’t checked in yet once we reach the 48 hours until deadline mark, so hopefully we’ll hear from our last few players soon. Thanks!

  56. Thank you! @Edward
And just to clarify, I don’t think it’s personal I just wanted to be dramatic. I’ve got three days to prove myself as both a newbie and not a bad guy which is more than enough time 🙂

  57. @MiKayla: of course, dramatics are always welcome! We’ve just had issues pop up in previous games so was covering my bases. I just want everyone to have fun… while simultaneously killing each other 😂

  58. I’m going to leave my vote on @Saika for now to see if that at least nudges them to show up, but I have my eye on this Harker-MiKayla-Krista dynamic. On the one hand I think it must have been a newbie mistake for Krista and MiKayla to agree to team up so early in the game, because only mafia members know thier team members and that puts a big target on their back. But then again maybe we do have a bunch of newbies on the mafia team and they just aren’t used to the crazy analysis we always end up doing on every person’s interactions with other people lol And lest we forget, ADSOM has four Londons so maybe there are third parties who also know the other people on their teams…

As for Harker making the first move to vote against one of them, I think they are either a mafia member trying to find a convenient scapegoat, or a well-meaning townie who really is just doing the best they can with the little information they have. I usually try to keep my eye on people who seem influential with changing others’ votes, because that’s often a mafia member trying to get people to vote for someone not on their team, or mafia members trying to hide their allegiance by jumping on a bandwagon. Since Harker got Jeremy to vote for Mikayla, I’m a little bit suspicious of both of them, but the vote hasn’t had much momentum so it’s probably not a mafia bandwagon.

On Day One I feel like it’s near impossible to get a mafia member voted out (although we did manage it for Nevernight!) so speculating as much as possible to have more information to comb through for later Days seems to be the best way to go.

  59. Voting Update

    Beth (1) – Laura
    Shannon T (1) – Shannon M
MiKayla (3) – Nicole, Harker, Jeremy
    Saika (1) – Kritika
    Kritika (1) – Shannon T
    Edward (1) – Anna
    Jeremy (1) – Megan
    Anthony (1) – Beth
    Harker (2) – Kerrie, MiKayla

Not Voting: Anthony, Dana, Edward, Krista, Meeghan, Saika, Siena

  60. Wow, I’ve missed a lot! Catching up on the comments is interesting to see everyone analyzing everything… I can see both sides that people have brought up, so I think I will leave my vote at random for now, but I am very interested to see how the next two days play out!

  61. @Kritika: I don’t think I influenced anyone really, just pointed out a fairly obvious situation. I just happened to be the person that voiced it first. 😅 Whether it ends up meaning anything or not, or whether it ends up being a newbie whoopsie, remains to be seen. D1 breadcrumbs are few and far between. 😭

  62. Listen, Listen, we can keep coming for me because Im a newbie and messed up or we could really be searching for someone bad instead

  63. @MiKayla: I’m sorry if you feel we “keep coming for you”. There are two days left, plenty of time to look for more clues.

Hard to say what to look for on D1. There are a couple of people who haven’t checked in yet. The question is, are they hesitant newbies or pondering Mafia members? shrug No idea. Like Kritika pointed out, they may just not be used to the pace of analysis that some returning members use.

  64. @Kritika I agree I feel like this version must have more than just the town vs mafia dynamic since ADSOM has four different worlds. You bring up a good point about Jeremy joining Harker in voting for Mikayla but also Edward gave Mikayla some sympathy and said he believed her so maybe there’s something there too? Who really knows at this point??

Also I hope the other people who haven’t commented yet come soon!

  65. @Laura: you and Kritika bring up a good point about the four different Londons. I know this game is only based on the first book; it’s going to be hard to remember what only takes place in ADSOM because some of what I keep thinking of turns out to take place later in the series. ^^; I was wondering about what kind of alignments there might be and who there might be.

  66. Hey guys! I’m really excited to be playing this round, ADSOM is one of my favorite book series and I’m also looking forward to meeting new people. (while simultaneously trying to expose one another, of course 😂) so let’s see how this goes.

Also sorry that I haven’t been on for a few days, I’m a college student so sometimes life gets a little busy with balancing work and school.

    VOTE HARKER

  67. @Siena: greetings. 🙂 ADSOM is also one of my favorites. I’m rereading it now to keep things fresh in my mind.

I get the school thing. I’m not in college anymore, but I have to help my kid with school so it’s almost like doing it again. >.< Grade school, but still: yuck!

  68. Nice to meet you! And also I have a question: is this game only based on the first book of ADSOM or the entire series? Because if it’s the entire series we’re in for a wild ass ride 😂

But then again even the first book of ADSOM is pretty crazy too so… we’re definitely in for some kind of plot twist 🤔

  69. @Siena welcome to the game! Just because I’m looking for interesting moves, can you explain why you voted for Harker and then cancelled your vote for them, and immediately switched to Edward?

(You don’t have to, if you don’t want)

  70. @Kritika, I don’t really find Harker jumping on it to be too suspicious, mostly because that is just how Harker plays in general? I’d probably be more wary if they didn’t say something tbh!

Personally, I’m leaning toward it being way too blatant to be an actual mafia/baddie move, but we also have so little to go on during Day 1 that I absolutely agree with discussing it. (Though it would be a bit of a genius reverse psychology move to do, but would anyone ever actually risk it? Doubtful, IMO.)

  71. Thanks for fixing my quote mess, @Inge! 😀

@ShannonM We’re in the same boat about non-voters, I think.

I think it’s safe to say that, with 19 players and a book that had 14 or so named characters across three realms (teams?) plus an ambiguous big bad (the stone), this is not going to just be two teams, Town vs Mafia. Also, lest we forget, Crini is co-modding. This is not likely to be Greg’s fluffy Winnie the Pooh Bookish Games. 😀

  72. @Beth: that’s what I was thinking re: the cast of characters, who was named/played a role, etc. It’s kind of like Vicious: not a huge cast of essential people. You don’t get more people until book 2 and the Games begin, then book 3 when *things* go down. 👀 Between Asti, Inge, & Crini, I’m sure they’ve come up with 4 Londons worth of trickery.

  73. @Harker do you think it’s too much to hope for later Bookish Games to be themed on the second and third books !? I’m on board for literally anything related to V and her writing!

  74. @Laura: I don’t know! That’d be up to Asti and/or any co-hosts. I know there are a ton of games potentially in the works, but maybe someday. It would certainly be interesting, whether books 2-3 or other Schwab books. I’d love to see a Monsters of Verity games myself. 😉

  75. @Siena, welcome into the chat!

I had to step away from the computer for a bit, I missed quite a bit of conversation. Me agreeing with Mikayla was just one newbie comforting another, I still think it’s too early for me to feel paranoid about anyone. I have zero information to go off of, after all.

    Also:
    VOTE SIENA

Because Siena voted for me :p

  76. @Laura me too, I don’t know how it would work but a game based off of City of Ghosts or Vicious would be amazing.

  77. @Shannon M good point about Harker’s playing style, I’m even less convinced they’re up to no good now 🙂 I guess I was trying not to let previous games influence how I judge people’s actions this time since I sorta got into trouble for my statistical analysis of all the previous games last time LOL

@Siena I’m also curious to hear why you switched votes so suddenly and without saying a reason?

@Beth I forgot about Crini co-modding! Oh man you’re right we’re in for lots of twisty madness!

I have a lot going on this weekend so I might not be able to catch the end of the Day but I will try and keep up at least through Saturday.

  78. @kritika It’s because I saw yours and Beth’s comment about their playing style and rethought my decision. I’m new to this so I was trying to pay attention to detail, but I’m also a really indecisive person 😂 Sorry I should’ve said a reason and communicated to you guys sooner

  79. @kritika

@ Laura: A full ADSOM edition of the Games is always possible in the future! We have a couple of players who have signed up to be co-mods for certain editions that we’ll be working our way through first but I wouldn’t mind exploring the full series if there was enough interest. We just started with the first book for this edition so as to make it easier for those who signed up but haven’t read it. I think most, if not all, players have now read the first book after signing up!

@ Edward: We’ve actually had a Vicious edition in the past! You can check it out in the Previous Games link in the menu. 😊

@ Kritika: Feel free to use your statistical analysis all you’d like this game, I’ve learned my lesson. 😂

  81. Thank goodness for weekends. There was a lot to catch up on from my last comment haha.

Seems I missed a bit of the vote switching drama. In one way I feel like MiKayla was possibly just trying to get votes off her back and wanted to seem like an ally to Krista so they would switch. But then she also got defensive real quick but could just be newbie nerves. I know how I felt last game when the heat was piling on me, all I wanted to scream was ‘I’m a good guy I swear!’ 😂

Harker jumping on the switch doesn’t seem out of character for them. They’ve always been very perceptive and not afraid to call out what’s suspicious. So not overtly suspicious with them at the moment.

Sienas vote chamge rings a few bells for me but could still be newbies getting used to the games.

I’m sort of in two minds about whether to change my vote for inactive players at this point. Which I may do closer to deadline time.

Still can’t see a whole lot to change my first random vote yet. Not a lot to go on still. Day 1 always sucks a little for that, who knows what’s important!?!? Haha 😂

  82. Man, a lot has happened since I last checked.

    @Kritika, @Kerrie I’m a grad student as well.

@Harker I’m going to have a hard time separating the events and characters from the second and third books from the first book, too. The first book itself has a lot of twists and turns, but there’s so many more later in the series.

I’m going to leave my vote for MiKayla for now. Her actions seem the most suspicious to me, but Edward and Siena are also on my radar.

    Approximately 28.5 hours until deadline.

Also, just to clarify: Players who do not meet the comment minimum receive a warning followed by disqualification. When a player is disqualified, they will not be eliminated but instead replaced by someone else (either someone who died earlier in the game or a spectator).

  84. Ohhhh a definite replacement actually changes my mind. I’d much rather let someone who wants to play have a chance than kill inactives in that case. Unless I genuinely thought they were mafia of course, then they’d have to go regardless 😂

  85. As someone who has always been staunchly in the camp of “don’t waste your votes on inactives because voting them out doesn’t help us find the mafia”, I’m really glad there’s replacements this round! If Saika doesn’t comment by the end of today (Saturday) I will change my vote to someone I’m more suspicious of. I was hoping the pressure of having a vote might get them to show up but it doesn’t seem to be working lol

  86. @Megan Rose put it the best because all I want to do is scream “Im a good guy, I swear” and both being put on the spotlight and a newbie leaves me scrambling to figure out what I should do.
I AM interested in the point @Harker makes about those not talking being hesitant mafia members. Maybe they think that waiting until the last day to talk will make it less obvious? Or give us less time to analyze what they have to say?

  87. Just double-checking on the whole time-zone differences….What time does the first Day end if I am on EST in the U.S.? As of now I have no idea or reasoning behind my vote, and haven’t felt swayed enough to pick one of the three people that others have become wary of…This is more-so a question for general knowledge/the next go around.

Since this is my first time playing, I’m pretty excited to see what happens next!

    Siena (1) – Edward

Not Voting: Anthony, Dana, Krista, Meeghan, Saika
    Hasn’t met comment minimum: Anthony (0), Jeremy (3), Kerrie (2), Megan (3), Nicole (2), Saika (0)

@ Shannon M: I had the replacement question pop up in private and figured everyone would want to know, so I’m glad that helps. You can still vote them off if you’d like, but if you don’t it won’t hurt the team quite as much as it did in the past when we’d have both the normal vote elimination plus a disqualification elimination!

@ Shannon T: I used to live in EST so that’s the one time zone difference I know by heart – it’s currently five hours difference! So 9pm BST should be 4pm EST. 🙂

  89. I’d much rather let someone who wants to play have a chance than kill inactives in that case.

This may sound cruel, but if you sign up for this game and then just stand us all up, I’d rather vote you out ASAP and get an engaged player who really wants to be here, in.

However, the last time we did replacement players, I think Asti said the replacement player won’t necessarily have the ousted player’s role or team affiliation, so in that case, even losing a player due to inactivity who is team mafia/anti-town doesn’t necessarily get the town a step ahead.

So for now I’ll go ahead and
    CANCEL VOTE
And wait for inevitable final 3-hour craziness to help me figure out who I’m most suspicious of. 🙂

  90. @Beth: Players who are disqualified are not “ousted”. Instead, an announcement is made that they are being replaced and the replacement player is given the exact role/alliance of the player they are replacing. That means the game continues exactly as originally planned with the same characters/roles/alliances, it’s just a different player taking over.

  91. @Kerrie: I’m waiting for my copies to come in the mail. I realized when ACOL came out that I’d never ordered AGOS so I got both. I’m anxious to read Kell’s origin story. 😭

Also, re: comps reading: that is true. 😂

  92. @Kerrie I was so surprised when we didn’t get any of that in the main series. Halfway through ADSOM I was sure that would be a big plot point in ACOL.

About the game, the more I think about it, the less certain I am that anybody’s mafia, so I’m going to abstain until things heat up.

    CANCEL VOTE

  93. @Jeremy, I did too! I’m hoping it will have more bearing on the Threads of Power series

also, question, cuz I’m a newbie: do we know how many teams there are? I’m assuming there’s one for each London (except black) and I’m guessing white London would be the mafia

  94. Oh! Thanks, @Asti! (so….exactly the opposite as I thought. Excellent. Need more caffeine) 😀
Well in that case, yeah, I’d rather vote out an absent player and allow someone in the waitlist to step in. Sorry for the flipflop!

    VOTE ANTHONY (again)

@Kerrie Although the game is based around Werewolf, there isn’t always one set of baddies (Mafia). Like, in the Chaos Walking games, there were two factions that were anti-town (Spackle and the Misogynist Circle Whackos). And games can also have standalone anti-town roles (whose sole goal is survival, or killing a specific town role). So I doubt it’ll be as straightforward as Red London = Town, White London = Mafia.

  95. @Beth: going by what you said:

I’d rather vote out an absent player and allow someone in the waitlist to step in.

Would you mind explaining why you chose Anthony as opposed to the others who have shown up yet? Such as, say, Saika? A player who hasn’t shown up and does already have a vote to their name.

  96. @Beth, I’m a bit confused. I thought (and @Asti, please correct me if I’m mistaken) that if an inactive player is DISQUALIFIED, they get a replacement of the same affiliation. If we vote them out, they’re just regular dead. So we’d want to NOT vote them out (as long as we’re assuming they’re Town), right? So we get a new (hopefully) Townie who is active?

  97. Yes I have feelings about the short stories at the back of the ACOL collector’s edition (I’ve been wanting to talk about it with people) I feel like we were lowkey done dirty lmao. I also thought that Kell’s origin story would be more of an important plot point in ACOL? Especially because they teased it so much in the first book.
And then at the end of the day we don’t even get Kell’s full name, or where he came from. The author is really out here playing us with his backstory

  98. And his “origin story” left me with more questions than answers. Hopefully this is a plot point that will be brought up again in Threads of Power.

  99. @Shannon That’s my understanding as well, though I guess it depends on whether players are disqualified before or after being killed (i.e. if we vote for a player who gets disqualified, whether that character still dies or someone replaces them). Voting for an absent player is just voting with no basis; I’d much prefer to vote based on someone’s actual actions and let whoever takes over for the disqualified player start blank-slate.

  100. I agree with @Jeremy on this. It’s much better to vote someone based on their actions rather than simply them not being here.

  101. @Jeremy, totally agree! In some Games (and I am sure it depends on whether there are available replacement player) if someone is disqualified, they’re just gone/dead. And it has seemed, historically, that they’ve been Town more often than not. So I had been very willing to vote off an inactive player (especially if I really didn’t feel like anyone was glaringly standing out as Mafia) as statistically we’re far more likely to vote off a Townie in the earlier Days, I hated to see us lose two people, especially as the inactive one wouldn’t be of much help to us down the road anyway. But with the replacement player, to me it makes no sense to vote off an inactive- if they are disqualified, we’ll get someone eager to play, who is hopefully Town!

  102. @Harker Sure! I like the name Saika, and I have an ex named Anthony, so I had a bias there. I’d vote for either at this point, on the basis of “haven’t showed up yet and there’s only 19 hours to go”

@Shannon Oh yeah- there’s the logic I was looking for. 😀 You’re correct. My voting out an inactive player doesn’t mean someone from the waitlist steps in, it means one fewer player. My post-surgery lucid moments are clearly not as often as I thought. ::rolls eyes at self::
I’m still not overly suspicious of anyone right now, though. Yet. 😀

I’m also just anti-unfairness by nature, and generally offended on behalf of Asti and Inge if a player commits to doing a thing and then just doesn’t do the thing and never reaches out to say why or apologize. ::shrug:: And I’m petty enough to act on that resentment by voting for them. But this is a very personal thing- I wouldn’t expect anyone else to vote this way, and I’m not trying to make a case for voting against a particular player.
It’s a lazy “out” on D1, when we don’t have player actions, votes, or comments to analyze, and so I’m taking it for now. 😉

  103. @Beth I wholly agree with your feelings about inactives, which is why I am usually completely on board. Without replacements, I am absolutely petty enough to be right there with you 😂 But in this case, it almost makes me feel worse voting out an inactive because then I am depriving someone who is waitlisted the chance to play? (Plus the chances are really high that the inactive is a Townie- which means we could be getting a really awesome Townie in their place!)

  104. @Shannon Yeah, that’s a good point…and means my voting for an inactive player has the opposite effect to what I prefer. Darnit.

  105. oh man I don’t know what to do, I want to switch my vote from Saika because I thought the replacement thing would only happen if they disqualified from inactivity (and not if we vote out the inactive player, like @ShannonM said). But there’s so little to go off of that I can’t decide who to vote for! I’m going to be busy 11am-3:30pm EST tomorrow so I don’t want to wait till the last minute in case I’m still driving at the end of the Day.

I’m going to vote for someone who already has a couple of votes simply because that vote will be more helpful in voting someone out instead of diluting votes across more players. I will try my best to check in before the end of the Day tomorrow in case there’s a tie or something and I want to switch. Out of MiKayla, Edward, and Harker (the three people that have more than one vote according to the last voting update Asti posted), I’m most suspicious of MiKayla. She started the whole “let’s be on the same team” conversation and later said she wanted to scream that she’s one of the good guys… it seems like she’s laying it on thick about being town. Last round Jenn did that as a mafia member and it fooled me, but this time I’m more wary of people who vocally proclaim themselves Town.

    VOTE MIKAYLA

  106. @ Shannon and Beth: Yes, it seems my trying to clarify only caused more confusion. For some stupid reason I interpreted “ousted” as a player who has been revealed to the game, not just kicked out of the game. So I was trying to clarify that if his role is revealed (ie voted out), they’re definitely not replaced because their info is already out there and we don’t create new roles for replaced placed.

    So to sum up:
If a player is inactive – Disqualification – Replaced by new player with announcement but no reveal
If a player is inactive – Voted off – Player info revealed and no replacement

Sorry everyone! That’s my bad. Voting update coming momentarily once I finish catching up.

Just over 13 hours until deadline.

Okay, now that I’ve caught up, a quick note on the two who haven’t checked in (Saika and Anthony). Both have replied to my email stating that they will be unable to participate so I will be sorting out replacements for them if they do not get voted out. Thanks!

  108. Hi all, I’m just conscious that the Day* ends at my 7am tomorrow, and TBH I hate getting up early so will likely miss it (as per usual – I always miss out on all the fun).

Here’s my thoughts at the moment:
    • MiKayla and Krista are on my radar but I am excusing their behaviour as newbie at the moment. I will be watching their behaviour in later Days.
    • Siena has been asked a couple of times (including by myself) about her random vote switching with no real response. Could be missed (but missed 3 times? Seems unlikely).
    • Jeremy jumped on the MiKayla bandwagon pretty quickly, and then when the heat cooled off he canceled and mentioned abstaining until later. (Could be newbie nerves, or possible mafia waiting to bandwagon on where the heat goes.)

I’ll be checking in for the next 5(ish) hours, and then I’m off to bed, but at this stage I am actually most suspicious of Siena and Jeremy – both of whom have a vote against them, and I do not like throwing my vote away (it’s so hard living in like opposite time zones to everyone!! Wah, wah me 😂).

    VOTE SIENA

    * For those newbies who are slightly confused like I was my first game, ‘day’ with a capital D took me ages to figure out, it’s how we refer to an “in game day” as opposed to a real world day.

  109. @Meeghan, thanks for the clarification. Considering one in-game day lasts a couple of days, talking about “day” gets confusing fast. ^_^; I’m sure I’ll figure things out a lot more quickly from here on out, but I’m still new at how this game works and I appreciate the help!

  110. @Edward – no worries! I’ll try and post other things if I remember them. (You can use html code to bold, underline, italicise, blockquote and dot point things. There’s no use typing them here as they get swallowed up with their actual function, but you can google them easily enough.)

Also, it’s going to get hard enough with Shannon M / Shannon T; Meeghan / Megan; Krista /Kritika.

  111. @Meeghan – No kidding! At least my name is fairly straightforward, but it’s almost easier to use pen names than actual names… but then again if I remember correctly one of us has “Rhy” as a username. So I think I take it back.

  112. Back home and caught up on all the comments. I think there have been some good points made on a few people whose behaviour seems suspicious.

I remember being a newbie last game and agree that could be a possible reason for some suspicious behaviour. Currently though, I think MiKayla is the most suspicious to me.

  113. It seems like a few returning players are offering advice and I’m curious about how nighttime play usually goes down. From what I understand it all goes down of of the main forum, but are there any small tips or tricks? Like the difference between day and Day (would’ve taken me forever to catch on about that one)?

  114. Also, I still haven’t been convinced to change my vote from MiKayla. Her behaviour is suspicious, though that could be because she’s a newbie, as many have pointed out. I haven’t heard any convincing reasonings to vote another player out yet.

  115. Voting Update

    Beth (1) – Laura
    Shannon T (1) – Shannon M

Hasn’t met comment minimum: Megan (3)
    Players being replaced: Anthony, Saika

    8.5 hours until deadline.

  116. @Meeghan, Siena did explain why they switched from Harker, but not why they then chose Edward. But I do agree that it seems more like a dodging of the question than a genuine oversight. Mostly because so many different people asked. So yeah, I definitely find that suspect. You also make a good point about Jeremy which I need to think about more too.

I still think the MiKayla/Krista thing is too blatant to be mafia behavior. Especially since if they were mafia teammates, they wouldn’t really have to ask each other to team up, as they’d already BE teamed up.

I’m going to wait a bit for now, see if Siena has anything to say about the vote switch, and go from there.

  117. @Shannon M – thank you, you always put it far more articulately than I do. It was the second part of the question (the Edward vote) that Siena hadn’t responded to.

It’s 11:30pm here, I still haven’t packed for my flight/work trip tomorrow, and I am off to bed. Depending on how much sleep I get I *may* be back for the last 15 mins of Day 1. Then again, I *may* snooze through it.

@Newbies – the best tip I can give you for the last 7 hours is to VOTE and do it wisely. Anything and everything you say on here can be used against you. Abstaining, vote switching, bandwagoning. Whatever you do, make sure you have a reason to back it up, because questions and speculation will come flying from Day 2 onwards. (It’s not personal! It’s how we play the game…)

  118. Fly safe, @Meeghan! I hope your trip goes smoothly.
RE: Siena’s vote explanation (in a comment to Kritika), it was:

It’s because I saw yours and Beth’s comment about their playing style and rethought my decision

(except she meant Shannon M, not me- Shannon brought up a statement about Harker’s gameplay syle, which Kritika agreed about, that Harker’s play style makes it less suspicious that they’d pick up on/bote from the Krista/Mikayla dynamic.
    *but*
Shannon M made this observation 1 hour and 24 minutes *after* Siena changed her vote from Harker to Edward. So I don’t think that’s the full reason (and still no idea why she changed it to Edward specifically).
While this doesn’t necessarily mean something dramatic, like she’s ani-town and just remembered that Harker is a teammate, it does ping on my radar. So for now, I’m going to:

  123. I’m torn a bit. While I think it was likely to have been a rookie mistake, the MiKayla/Krista incident still raises red flags. I also think Siena’s explanation using evidence that came after her post is alarming. And I’m about 20% concerned about Nicole right now, for her phrasing used above.

I’m curious about how nighttime play usually goes down. From what I understand it all goes down of of the main forum, but are there any small tips or tricks?

Even being a newbie, why are you asking for tips or tricks for nighttime unless you are either anti-Town or have some sort of night action? It makes me uneasy.

  124. Sorry I haven’t been around much! Seems every time I’m away and come back there’s so many comments that I just don’t know what to add haha.

I’m not sure what to think about some of the players this round. There’s a lot of newbies and all this wishy-washy behaviour could be them just figuring out how to play or it could be seen as suspicious.

Like MiKayla’s asking to team up and Siena’s vote changes are suspicious but also a bit obvious as well. Would they really be that obvious? I don’t know.

  125. @Dana I completely agree about being cautious of Nicole asking about night time actions. Raises some red flags for me.

Also as for Beth pointing out Siena’s behaviour I’m also critical of anyone pointing out anyone else’s behaviour. I feel like for anything someone says I can analyze it and make it seem shady or I can rationalize it to seem normal. Is this the madness of the games !?

  126. @Laura If you’re critical of people sharing their suspicions or analyzing behavior, you’re in for a long haul. 😉
And yes, the analysis and rationalizing can (and has) gone in circles. Some of it comes down to patterns, gut instinct, etc. It’s all part of the paranoia, er, joy, of the game! 😀

  128. @Beth that’s what I mean! There’s so little to go on right now that I feel like if I want to I can see suspicious behaviour everywhere 🙈 I’m so excited to see what happens though and hopefully everyone has fun!

  129. Good morning! (Afternoon? idk it’s morning for me, I just woke up). I missed a lot of conversation while I was asleep. I have to admit, I was starting to think I wanted to change my vote from Siena to MiKayla since originally I voted for her in response to her voting for me. But you guys make a convincing argument for sure, and since I haven’t heard any reasons otherwise I think I’ll keep my vote where it’s at.

  130. This may be a stretch and maybe it’s coincidence but Harker’s first vote was for Siena before they changed it to MiKayla after she suggested working with Krista ( which is a valid reason and led to other MiKayla votes). Siena’s first vote was for Harker before she suddenly changed it to Edward (with no reason as to why Edward).

Now that I’ve typed it all out it seems stupid but I guess that it struck me since Siena’s sudden switch raised flags and I believe someone mentioned earlier that maybe Siena had forgotten Harker was on their side. With all that said, it’s getting close to the end of Day and I’m sure of nothing. I’m just going to

    VOTE SIENA

  131. It’s been a busy weekend for me, but I’m finally all caught up! The sudden switch and the following explanation does seem strange, so I’m also going to add my vote for Siena. There’s not really anything to go off of yet besides that, but it does seems weird to me.

    VOTE SIENA

  132. Voting Update

    Beth (1) – Laura
MiKayla (3) – Harker, Kritika, Anna
    Kritika (1) – Shannon T
    Edward (1) – Siena
    Jeremy (1) – Megan
    Harker (2) – Kerrie, MiKayla
Siena (7) – Edward, Meeghan, Beth, Shannon M, Nicole, Dana, Krista

    Not Voting: Jeremy
    Players being replaced: Anthony, Saika

    1.5 hours until deadline.

  133. This weekend has been busy for me too, but I’m finally all caught up. Looking at everyone’s reasoning, it does seem weird that Siena changed their vote like that and didn’t explain. With nothing else to really go off of, I’m going to add my for them too.

    VOTE SIENA

  134. Okay, so it didn’t show my comment when I refreshed it. Now that I retyped it, the first one popped up. Has this been a problem before? I’ve never used WordPress before.

  135. @ Krista: Sometimes comments can get stuck in our SPAM folder so won’t appear right away, but I didn’t have to approve yours so I’m not sure what happened. Just to be on the safe side, I know some players do type their comments outside of WordPress first just in case they have issues submitting. If you do have problems submitting comments though in the future don’t hesitate to contact a mod and we’ll see if we can sort it out.

  136. I think Siena’s claim that Shannon’s (or as she said Beth’s) comment influenced them is an easy mistake to make – it can be hard to remember which comments came in what order when you’re scrolling through so many. What strikes me as odd is that they switched to Edward with little justification, when he already had the vote from Anna (which I’m confident was random). It seems that if you’re pulling your vote from someone you were suspicious of (Harker), you’d want to give it to someone with no votes.

But I also see very little team dynamic in Siena’s actions. Their behavior seems more third-party (maybe on their own team? Is that common in these games?) than mafia to me. While voting out a third party is great, I’d still prefer mafia. The one who strikes me as most suspicious in that regard is Nicole, since asking for night actions suggests anti-Town (I know Town can have night actions, but I don’t see why you’d need “tips or tricks” for them). I think she has a higher likelihood of being mafia than Siena.

    VOTE NICOLE

The only thing that makes me hesitate is my slight suspicion for Dana, who first suggest Nicole. After Harker initially suggested the strangeness between Krista and MiKayla, Dana was the first to jump on it, and her certainty was what initially brought me to vote for MiKayla. Hearing what other people thinks, her reaction seems overblown, which made me wonder why she wanted to throw so much suspicion that way. But I haven’t seen anything other than that from her, so I don’t think there’s enough to incriminate her yet.

  137. @Jeremy I didn’t actually jump on it after Harker suggested it. I said my jaw dropped but I wasn’t sure which of the two I was more suspicious of. I cancelled my random first vote for Kerrie because after that point, there were actual sketchy things going on and I wouldn’t need to keep a random vote.

  138. @Jeremy that’s actually a really good point. Nicole definitely raises some red flags too, but with only 54 minutes left to go I’m not sure if I should switch my vote or not.

  139. I do understand the concern about Nicole’s comment, but at the same time, I wonder why she’d ask if she WAS mafia. I assume she’d at least be aware that she’d have the opportunity to talk to her teammates at Night, and just ask them? Why be so public/obvious if you could ask someone at Night?

  140. I’ve got concerns about Nicole and the question about the night actions but I think I’m gonna leave my vote as my random one from the beginning.

  141. Voting Update

    Beth (1) – Laura
MiKayla (3) – Harker, Kritika, Anna
    Kritika (1) – Shannon T
    Edward (1) – Siena
    Jeremy (1) – Megan
    Harker (2) – Kerrie, MiKayla
Siena (7) – Edward, Meeghan, Beth, Shannon M, Nicole, Dana, Krista
    Nicole (1) – Jeremy

    Players being replaced: Anthony, Saika

    Half an hour left!

  142. So here’s my thoughts:

Nicole asking about night actions didn’t strike me as suspicious so much as someone asking if there was a way for players who don’t have night actions to tell what was going on during a game Night.

Siena’s switch to Edward was suspicious, but could have conceivably been just a random choice. I’m on the fence here.

Ultimately, I’m going to leave my Harker vote because they were the first to point out the suspicious team up — maybe an attempt at getting people to bandwagon? And they haven’t speculated on any of the Nicole/Siena stuff, which I find suspicious since they were so quick to point out the team-up earlier in the Day

  143. @Kerrie: I don’t find Nicole’s asking about Night actions particularly suspicious. To me, at least, it was a newbie player:

It seems like a few returning players are offering advice

observing that there were returning players offering advice, like Kritika & refreshing a page before commenting; Meeghan & Day v. day; Shannon & Beth talking about how inactives affected play in the past and trying to take advantage. As a new player, any advice is helpful, which is why I linked it in a reply comment I made directly to her.

  144. Well, 3 minutes to go and still no word from Siena. At this point I think I’ll keep my suspicions of other characters on the back-burner and keep my vote where it’s at. Nothing personal, Siena.

  145. Day One has officially ended. The person with the most votes (7) is Siena. But oops, something mysterious seems to have interfered with her elimination! Therefore, Siena is not eliminated and remains in the game.

It is now Night One. If you have a special role that involves a Night action, please submit the form by Tuesday 9pm BST (48 hours from now, but honestly the sooner the better). The form can be found by clicking the “Current Game” link in the menu and scrolling to the bottom of the page.

Day Two will start on Wednesday 9pm BST. Any additional casualties will be revealed at that time. Good luck!
